I received a Canon EOS 400D / Digital Rebel XTi from school for my Photography classes that I’m going to be taking starting Monday. Here are some unboxing pictures for your viewing pleasure:

I’m a native Nikon user (fear not Canon-lovers, I’m not here to bash you) so this is all very new to me. Everything seems so foreign and backwards at first glance: The buttons and icons are pretty different compared to what I’m used to, however it’s probably a good idea to familiarize myself with both brands anyway. No such thing as too much experience! :) A few things I don’t like right off the bat are…
1. The lack of clarity in the [very small] viewfinder; it’s very difficult to tell if the camera is in focus or not.
2. It has a very cheap plasticky feel to it.
3. The on/off switch is in a weird location.
4. Sensor cleaning system is terrible. I just got the camera yesterday and theres already tons of dust on the sensor.
I may be biased, but I definitely won’t be switching to Canon any time soon. This camera makes me appreciate my Nikon D50 & Nikon D300 so much more! Here are a few test shots taken with the Canon:

iPhone 3G Unboxing

I ordered an iPhone 3G (with free 2-day shipping) through AT&T’s website hoping it would be shipped and delivered to my house by the time that I got home from New York. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case, and it wasn’t delivered for 6 days. So finally it arrived and after 3 days of intense use, I absolutely love it. I have 6 pages full of USEFUL applications, none of that iFart or Fingerprint Scanner garbage. I love being able to leave home and still be “connected”. Fore those of you that still don’t have an iPhone (i’m sorry), here are a few unboxing pictures to tease you even more :)
